Treatment Model: Her therapeutic style is client-centered. She works with a variety of treatment modalities to assist her clients in reaching their goals. Dr. deLange combines cognitive behavioral therapy with psychodynamic/insight work to assist her clients in uncovering root causes for their self-harming behavior. Dr. deLange welcomes collaboration with other professionals and/or significant others involved in her client's life. She can offer guidance and support through a directive modality if the client's treatment responses suggest higher levels of clinical intervention.
Eating Disorders
Dr. deLange treats Anorexia and Bulimia in children, adolescents, and adult women. She also works with Food Addiction, Binge Eating Disorder, Night Eating Syndrome, Obesity, Compulsive Overeating, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).
Childhood Disorders
Dr. deLange is an experienced child play therapist; working with children as young as 3 years old. Additional areas of specialty include: psychotherapy with adolescents and young adults who are participating in at-risk behaviors, struggling with an eating disorder and/or academic, social and family problems. Dr. delange's doctoral research was on the topic of adolescent girls and alcoholic mothers.
